Eventually, the rain tapered off and the clouds blew away, and Ko and I were able to pick up our pace a bit. Of course, we stopped to take lots of silly pictures, too. We thought of making a detour towards one of the tree islands we saw, but we were worried about how long that would take (hiking over/through sand is slow going!) so we decided against it. We did see some other cool stuff, like the elk tracks I found. I wonder where that elk was going. To the beach like us, maybe?
