While in Redding, Ko and I went to the Turtle Bay Exploration Park.

It was a ridiculously hot 104°F, which made us really glad for these misters!

First we went to see the animals, the neatest one being this fox.

It liked the bell on my phone strap so much that it let us pet it ♥

There was also a TON of birds in this walk-in cage thing, which was terrifying.

Less terrifying was the Butterfly House. It was really soothing, actually.

Remember my caterpillar post? Here’s what Monarch chrysalises look like.

And here are some full-grown Monarchs, hanging out on some flowers.

Outside the butterfly house was this ginormous tree. A redwood, maybe?

Before heading to the other parts of the park, we goofed off at the playground.

Next, we went to the Museum where they had more animals!*

I love amphibians. This newt looks a bit sad, though D:

The last thing we saw was the Sundial Bridge. It was cool seeing the shadow it cast!

After seeing the bridge we left for In N Out Burger, which I’ll post about later, haha.

*They had other stuff (like the The Bodies exhibit) but I didn’t take many pictures of them. Also, I’m too lazy right now to resize the ones I did take! (ーェー )オヤスミ☆
